    1.Epilators

An Epilator is a device that was first introduced in 1985 and became very popular quickly. Epilator has tweezers in the head that open and close, grab hairs and remove from the root of the skin. Most epilators can remove hairs 0.5mm under the skin for 4 weeks. Modern epilators have features like wet and dry use (ability to use underwater), built-in light, dual speed settings, and rechargeable battery.

Unlike shavers, epilators are a little painful due to grabbing and removing hairs from the root instead of cutting. Removing hairs from sensitive areas like underarms and bikini line is more challenging than other parts. But after using a couple of times you can be used to with it. One major benefit of using an epilator is that after using it for some time you will see that your hairs will grow slower and finer.

Epilator is a one-time investment. you need to buy it once and use it whenever and wherever you need it. Unlike shavers and waxing that need to replace blades or have professional assistance respectively. Here is a list of best epilators for 2021.

     2.Shavers

Shaving is one of the most common methods for removing hairs from the skin. Shaver is a simple device that cuts hairs from the surface of the skin instead of pulling it from the root, like in epilators. Shaver looks similar to epilators but shaver working is different. Instead of tweezers, there are foil and motors in a shaver that cut hairs. One benefit of shaving is that it is painless because no pulling is involved in the process but results are not so good.

Unlike epilators, you have to perform shaving sessions daily or after a couple of days for having smooth and silky skin. One drawback of shaving is that hair becomes stronger and darker, results in ugly darker skin. Braun lady shaver is one of the most popular lady shavers.

    3.Waxing

Waxing is another popular hair removal method. In this method, a strip is placed on the desired area in the direction of hair growth for time and removed suddenly. This strip pulls hairs from the root of the skin and it’s very painful especially in sensitive areas like the bikini area and underarms.

Waxing is very expensive and costs 50$ per session and needs to be done by a professional at the saloon. Another disadvantage of waxing is that you have to show your private parts to professionals to remove hairs, unlike epilators and shaving that can be done in the comfort of your home.

Waxing can remove hairs up to 2- 12mm and you can have hair-free skin for 4 to 5 weeks. After doing waxing several times you will feel that hair growth will be slower.

    4.Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is another modern hair removal method. If you want to permanently stop hair growth then this might be the best solution for you. Laser users light bean to remove hairs from the root of the skin. For removing hairs permanently you have to attend multiple sessions for 2 to 3 months. After that period you will hair-free skin forever. There are very rare chances of regrown hair. you cannot perform laser hair removal yourself. you need a  laser hair removal professional especially on sensitive areas like the underarms and bikini lines.

Laser hair removal is also a painful process like waxing and epilators.you can use numbing cream for reducing pain during laser hair removal. Here is the best-numbing cream in the market.

So, Which is better Epilator Vs Shaver Vs Waxing Vs Laser?

Now you have seen the pros and cons of all popular hair removal methods so which method is best? In my opinion, the epilator is the best hair removal method. you just need to buy an epilator for 1 time and enjoy hair skin for 4 to 5 weeks. Although it’s a little painful but you can be used to with it after using a couple of times. If you cannot afford to buy an expensive epilator, there are also some cheaper options available in the market. Here is a list of best epilators.

If hair removal is not your big preference you can go with a shaver that has to do after every 2 to 3 days and results are satisfactory. I will not recommend going for waxing because it’s very painful and also a waste of money. The last option is laser hair removal, you can go for it if you are very serious about hair removal and want a permanent hair removal method.

Still, double-minded between epilator vs shaver? you can go with BRAUN Silk 9 that’s can be used as an epilator as well as a shaver.
